Studio LUMI Begins a New Spa and 11 Suites for the Villa Contarini Guizzetti della Rovere Hotel

This month, the site completed the installation of the tower crane and the start of foundation works, marking the project’s transition from design and permitting into active construction.

The new building will hold 11 guest rooms, served by a spa and wellness area that spans the basement and ground floor and includes reception, lounge, treatment, changing, and recovery spaces. The ground floor features an indoor and an outdoor pool that connect into a single continuous, edgeless body of water. The basement consolidates the car park and the technical plant rooms, placing the servicing volumes below grade so that the ground floor can be given over to courtyards, water, and garden.

The façade continues the historic language of the site. Continuous round-arched openings, a timber louvre screen, and plain rendered walls are layered together, preserving the scale of the rural villa while introducing contemporary restraint and precision.

The site is currently at the opening stage of structural works. The foundation zone has been excavated and reinforced, and with the tower crane in place, the main structure will rise in stages.
